The group will be closed in order to build safety and develop relationships with peers. 

 

The dance component of the group is based on a dance-fitness model called WERQ - It  is the wildly addictive cardio dance workout based on trending pop and hip hop music. Their  mission is to create a judgment-free dance space built on good vibes, a great sweat, and a supportive community.

Meet The Team

Taliza Mizrahi holds an MA in Somatic Counseling Psychology and specializes in serving Tweens, Teens and Young Adults through a combination of Creative Arts Therapies, Group Work and Youth Mentoring in her private practice BrightPath Youth Empowerment. Tal Liza has been dedicated to youth development and mentoring for the last three decades – since she was a teen herself! She is passionate about supporting youth and their families in the often-complex transitions from childhood to adolescence, throughout the rich teen years, and through the journey out of adolescence and toward a healthy, embodied, and inspired young-adulthood. Taliza has a special focus on teen girls and loves creating safe spaces for them to come together to learn tools for embodiment, empowerment, authentic connection with self and others, as well as healthy self-expression. She is a trained dance/movement therapist as well as a devoted SomaSource leader and long-time mentee of Melissa Michaels. Taliza Serves through both traditional psychotherapeutic modalities and mentoring, as well as diverse movement-based approaches. She loves using creativity to open up new possibilities for every young person’s Bright Path forward. to be CUT/EDITED and ADD hip hop training and background. SMWS school counselor 8 years etc...

Ayla grew up in Boulder's dance studios (Dance West and Motion Underground represent!), with training and performing as an integral part of her upbringing. She has spent the last few years choreographing musicals, working with Casey Middle School's Theater department, teaching dance, and running hip hop dance troupes in Boulder with teens and adults, after returning from Chicago where she spent her early 20s diving deep into the hip hop scene. Ayla has something of a cult following at Alchemy of Movement for her Werq Hop Hop/Pop Dance Fitness classes - (there is ALWAYS a waitlist to get in!), and runs Streetside's high energy performance dance troupe - The Rebellion. Ayla loves incorporating all styles into her choreography and has seen, first-hand, how dance brings people together in a unique and compelling way. She is all about the self-esteem and the FUN.
